Frequently asked questions

Straight answers on the GST InvoiceNow Requirement and how Digi handles it.

The mandate

What exactly is the GST InvoiceNow Requirement?

GST-registered businesses must send invoice data to IRAS through the InvoiceNow network — Singapore’s national e-invoicing network built on the international Peppol standard. Invoices travel system-to-system as structured data, and a copy of the data flows automatically to IRAS via accredited Access Points.

When is my company’s mandatory date?

New voluntary GST registrants are already covered since 1 April 2026. Existing businesses follow in waves by annual supplies: up to S$200k from April 2028, up to S$1M from 2029, up to S$4M from 2030, and everyone by 2031. IRAS is also writing to each business with its individual date — send us the letter and we will confirm your deadline.

I already email PDF invoices. Isn’t that enough?

No. A PDF attached to an email is not a structured e-invoice and does not meet the requirement. Invoices must be transmitted as structured data over the Peppol network.

What happens if I don’t comply?

For new voluntary GST registrants the requirement is already a condition of registration — non-compliance means refusal or cancellation of GST registration. For existing businesses, obligations attach to your assigned wave between 2028 and 2031.

Grants & cost

What government support can I claim?

Depending on your profile: InvoiceNow transition grants of S$1,000–S$5,000, free-of-charge starter packages, PSG co-funding of up to 50% on eligible solutions, and from October 2026 the combined EDGE grant of up to S$100,000 a year. Digi onboarding includes preparing the grant paperwork for you.

How much does Digi cost?

Yearly plans from S$480 (1 user) to S$2,100 (10 users), each including InvoiceNow e-invoicing, setup, migration, training, backups and local support. See the Pricing page for full details.

The product

Is Digi connected to the InvoiceNow network?

Yes — Digi sends and receives e-invoices via IMDA-accredited Access Point partners, using the Peppol PINT SG billing standard, including the IRAS reporting flow required under the GST InvoiceNow Requirement.

Which products make up the Digi suite?

TechNext AMS (Accounting), TechNext IMS (Inventory), TechNext Payroll, TechNext CRM, TechNext POS and TechNext HRMS — all on one database, so data flows automatically with no double entry.

We run on spreadsheets / legacy software. How painful is switching?

Setup and migration are part of every plan: we move your chart of accounts, contacts, products and open balances, register you on the Peppol network, and train your team. Most SMEs go live within two to four weeks.

Who is behind Digi?

Digi is built and supported by TechNext Asia, a software company running ERP, HR and e-invoicing systems for businesses across Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam.
